Legislation has been passed to include gray wolves in the list of game animals in Michigan. Under Michigan’s comprehensive wolf management plan, farmers and landowners are already able to kill wolves who attack their livestock and/or pets, so there is no need for a hunting season on wolves. Despite the recent delisting from 'endangered' status, wolves have still not fully recovered and occupy only 5 percent of their historic range.
Efforts are underway to collect a whopping 225,000 signatures to get this issue on the ballot for voters to decide, rather than a small committee. We need help collecting! You can learn much more and sign up to help by following the link below.
